TCS & other Indian companies, use the loophole of paying 24k p/a to on-shorers so they can bring in as many as they like. UK workers both experienced & graduates are either made redundant or can't get their first job in IT. We are losing 300 jobs where I work, a reduction of 25% and all the roles will be modified so these on-shorers will not be taking any of the redundant worker's jobs. What's really annoying is that the company is in a healthy financial position. Here's a stat for you; there are now over 10,000 Indian IT on-shorers in the UK. This figure comes from a very senior TCS manager in London. He also said that next year they are planning to bring over another 1,000 on-shorers. How the times are changing.
